Below are some details to help you plan your time with us.
ARRIVAL/DEPARTURE
Please try to arrive a couple of hours before check-in. If flying, please allow a 3 to 4 hour leeway; we are 45 minutes from the closest airport—Manchester, NH (MHT) and about 2 hours from Boston, MA (BOS). In general, it is best to book a flight within 2-4 months in advance to get the best price. As soon as you book your flight, please send us your itinerary and receipt. We will arrange your airport pick up and drop off.
If you are driving, please check our DIRECTIONS page or verify any smartphone app is giving you correct directions to TWNE (The Wilds of New England, 1181 Deering Center Rd., Deering, NH 03244).

AUDIO/VISUAL & HANDOUTS
Generally, it is best for you to use your own laptop to present a PowerPoint presentation or video while you are speaking. Some computers require more time to get connected, so it is best to arrange a setup time with our A/V staff (at least 1-2 hours before the first session). We have an advancer that you are welcome to borrow while you speak. Our screens are set up for the 16:10 perspective and 30-36pt font is a good target size for readability. 16:9 and 4:3 will still work (with small black bars on the top/bottom or sides). If you have any handouts or outlines you would like available for the attendees, please email them to cassie.mcmanus@wilds.org no later than 10 days before your arrival, or plan to print and bring enough for all of the attendees.
SESSIONS
NOTE: The Wilds of New England chooses to use the King James Version for camp preaching.
Summer Camp (teen & junior): 5 evening services (40-50 min), 4 morning chapels (35-45 min), and potentially 1 afternoon Q&A session. Please make a special effort to explain salvation clearly during at least one of the evening sessions. For morning chapels during teen camp, we ask the speaker to preach from the summer theme passage that the campers are also studying during their God & I Time each morning. For 2025, the teen God & I Time study is from Ephesians 4.
- Tuesday Morning – Ephesians 4:1-10
- Wednesday Morning – Ephesians 4:11-16
- Thursday Morning – Ephesians 4:17-24
- Friday Morning – Ephesians 4:25-32
Family Camp: 4 evening services (40-50 min), 4 morning chapels (35-45 min), and potentially 1 afternoon Q&A session or a split session. Please make a special effort to preach on the biblical roles in the family.
Fall Retreats (men’s, women’s, couple’s, senior adult): 4 sessions (40-50 min) with an optional Q&A during the third session.
GENERAL INFO
Dress
Please dress business casual when speaking for sessions/workshops. Men, this includes polos, button down shirts, and slacks; please do not wear ties or sport coats. Ladies, this includes skirts, dresses, and slacks. Fashions should come to the knee. The evening service dress is typically a little dressier than morning chapels. Other packing info.
Lodging
The speaker suite room is stocked with bedding, towels, drinks, and snacks. Please bring all other personal care items. Wi-fi is available.
Family
If you plan to bring your immediate family with you, please let us know. While we aren't able to cover plane tickets and travel expenses for family members, we do welcome camp-age children of speakers to attend one week of junior (grades 4-7) or teen (grades 7-12) camp free of charge. We do ask that you cover your own registration "extras" (camper memory packet, shirt, pictures, WildsPAY spending money, etc).
Activities & Free Time
You are encouraged to spend time with campers and other staff as you are able. Feel free to join us at activities and games. Connecting with campers outside of the services always proves to have a big impact. Please take us up on the Speaker tab in our Cool Beans Coffee Shop and Sweet Shoppe. This is just one way that we like to say thank you by providing a free treat from the shops!
Travel Expense/Honorarium
We cover the speaker's travel expenses and provide a modest honorarium at the end of camp. Please share receipts and travel info so that we can know the amount of the travel expenses and to whom the check should be written. If you would like your flight reimbursement early, please let us know, and we will mail a check.
